Maya was born and raised in South Korea where she owned her own art studio and taught classes. She came to the US in 2008 and began her family. Mother of two children and two dogs, Maya believes that food can bring people together and create special moments.

She opened Jib-Bob to provide Mt. Pleasant a welcoming place where people come together and connect with those they care about. She is passionate about helping others appreciate Korean art and culture through her food and the atmosphere of her restaurant. The art and displays in the restaurant all represent Maya’s talent for creating art that pays homage to her Korean roots.
